About kostume karaoke
Founded in 2004, Kostume Karaoke has been serving karaoke with a twist to the DMV for over 20 years!
Founded by Debbi Arsenaux, Kostume Karaoke has been a DC establishment, with regular events held at some of DCs best bars.
KK was run by Debbi and Libby Sinback until 2011, when Aubri O’Connor took over. We are proud to be a woman owned and run business, and we strive to hire marginalized genders and races as our KJs.
Our current KJs are
Aubri O’Connor
Keshav “K-Push” Swaminathan
Allen “Ace” Eldridge
Leah “Leah Darling” Ly
Tania “Queen T” Dobrescu
THE RULES OF KOSTUME KARAOKE
1: You MUST wear a costume to sing
2: Your song will come up in a fair order - you can sign up for as many as you like, your name will hold your place in line.
3: Take care of the equipment. Don’t spill drinks on the costumes, don’t mic drop, and don’t steal or deface the supplies.
4: NO BOOING. All voices are welcome. We support each other at Kostume Karaoke.
5: Tip your KJ and your bartender - karaoke may be free, but rent isn’t
6: Bringing your own costume is 100% encouraged - flaunt what you’ve got!
7: Be kind to the costumes. We want them to last more than a night.
